Insurance Coverage for Businesses or Organizations
Learn about Paddle Canada's insurance coverage in relation to your business or organization.
Companies and organizations are not covered by Paddle Canada’s Liability Insurance, even if owned by or employing Paddle Canada Instructors. Only the Instructors themselves are covered by the personal liability coverage offered.
Paddle Canada’s Sport Accident and Paddling Programs 3rd Party Liability insurance, in some cases, may not provide adequate or sufficient coverage. However, the coverage provided by Paddle Canada may permit businesses complying with Paddle Canada policy and delivering sanctioned programs or clinics exclusively to access more affordable insurance.
A few points to consider:
- Paddle Canada’s insurance does not include coverage for “participants vs. participant’s” claims.
- You are urged to seek independent legal advice as well as contact a professional insurance broker prior to offering any Paddle Canada programs.
- Paddle Canada does not offer any paddling activity insurance for non-sanctioned Paddle Canada programs such as guiding or trip leading.
- Organizations seeking to host a Paddle Canada sanctioned event such as a symposium or race are encouraged to contact our office to discuss insurance coverage possibilities.
Any questions related to Paddle Canada insurance coverage should be directed to the Paddle Canada head office.
